About Our Products
So what makes our handmade wooden kitchen products so special? Well, in a word, everything! We start with the selection of our woods. We use only quality hardwoods sourced from renewable sources. Our lumber is painstaking selected one board at a time for both color and grain figure. Additionally, based on availability, we use reclaimed woods in our products. This wood is hand selected and carefully removed from century old buildings throughout the southeast. This antique wood, used exclusively in our Ancestors line adds the beauty and patina of age to these pieces that can't be found anywhere else.
Beyond our materials our craftsmanship sets us apart. Every item is handmade in our Columbia, South Carolina woodworking studio or one of the SC studios of our affiliate woodworking artists. All pieces are designed for everyday use and will last a lifetime with appropriate care. Each piece from cutting boards to sushi boards are individually crafted and one of a kind. No two pieces will every be the same. They truly are works of art.
All products are made with food safe materials and finished with traditional mineral oil finishes ( for more information see the section on caring for your products)
